Hey guys, long time no posting but ive been in ecuador for the last three weeks, now i am in cusco, peru. Needless to say this vacation hasnt beer very good for my training. Oops. Lots of eating and sitting and walking. The last hotel we were in had a gym in it so i went for a run and did a circuit. Yesterday i did a 50 min circuit in the room, the. Middle tough mudder one. It was super good, and i made it through even though i havent done much in the last few weeks. Anyway the day after tmrw we start the inca trail! More on my trip later. Keep up the good work friends!

So… I haven’t posted in weeks. We decided we aren’t getting internet this summer, so my posts will be sporadic only when I need inspiration!
My running is constantly improving, but I need to work harder. I ran 5km in 30 minutes flat, but I know that can be closer to 26 minutes… I’m setting that as my personal goal. Also, after this weekend I will measure myself again to see if there are any changes since the 30 Day Shred!
Love,
Steph

Well, the 30 Day Shred stopped early, but not by choice - the second and third video were deleted off of YouTube so Izwas shit out of luck. But I kept running and started the Tough Mudder workout again, and I feel strong as ever. I’m just going to keep this up and continue to workout hard every day (until I get exhausted, of course). So, one challenge stopped, but overall still pushing hard… But damn it I wish I could have continued the Shred…

I did the workout before leaving the house this morning, and as long as I get enough sleep the night before I can totally see this becoming a “thing”. I just ate a stupid snack when I got home, kind of ruining my excellent behaviour today… I really need to work on more discipline in order to see results. I feel stronger though, which means I’m one step closer to kicking ass during the Tough Mudder!
No run today (or tomorrow probably), but I’ll be hopefully lifting things enough and running around while moving. I may even do the Shred a second time for the hell of it! Going for a steak dinner too (which adds to the stupidity of my post-work snacking). Anywho, still going strong over here.

Today I had first aid recertification training, and we had to introduce ourselves to the rest of the class at the beginning - Name, program, and something we do for fun.
“Hi, I’m Steph, I’m a fourth-year biology student, and for fun I run.”
It came out of nowhere. I didn’t think twice, and I told a room full of strangers that I run for fun. At first it was weird, I figured they all must be thinking “she doesn’t look like much of a runner”, but as what had just happened settled (and I got over the shock of it) I realized that I actually love running. It took a long time for my relationship with it to change, but it makes me feel so good and free. Feet, pavement, nothing more, and I’ve only got myself to thank.
So it’s official, that’s me. I’m Steph, and I run for fun.

5km run today, and going to do the Shred before bed (didn’t do it before work… woops). But I’ve worked out a whole week straight! Amazing! Moving tomorrow and Saturday!

The exact realization I’ve come to with this work out… it’s still pushing me, 6 days in! I don’t want the 30 days to end!

Just ran 4km in the rain, it was really refreshing. Going to do the Shred Lv1 in half an hour, then going to bed - as of tomorrow, I’m doing the Shred before work, nice and early, then working out after work at 5pm too.
